Since 1954 Burger King® stands for the best flame-grilled burgers – and in Germany since 1976 with currently around 750 locations. As Marketing Director/CMO, Klaus Schmäing has been responsible for the Marketing and Commercial division of Burger King® in Germany since August 2018. Together with his team he steered the brand through the Corona-related challenges and shows how a burger restaurant can become a pioneer on a topic such as meat alternatives.
Previously he was responsible at Carlsberg Brewery Group for their local brands in Germany. After his studies he worked for Beiersdorf AG with world-known brands as NIVEA, Eucerin or Hansaplast for almost ten years. Here he held various positions in marketing and sales nationally as well as internationally.
