DACH Agency & Brand Country Lead

The Supply-Side Platform (SSP) Engine Media Exchange (EMX) has opened a new location in Hamburg in 2020 and has brought in reinforcements from the demand side. Marcel Heuer joins from Quantcast and, as Country Director of Demand DACH, will drive Engine's expansion in the German-speaking region. Marcel joined EMX Digital in July 2020 and has since led the DACH business at a strategic level. Prior to that, he spent around six years at data and Demand-Side Platform (DSP) Quantcast, successfully managing its Hamburg sales office. Further professional stations of the Programmatic professional were the video platform Teads and the online unit of Fox Networks within NewsCorp. Marcel has rapidly expanded the cooperation with agencies as well as direct customers, thus the business development as well as the sales with Brendan Conway and Tom Dolling, besides his Account Management, the Client Success Team and the Publisher Director Harald Stück and DSP colleagues from Munich, London, New York and Chicago act. For more than 20 years now, Marcel has been active in Marketing on various levels and in this capacity he primarily supports agencies, global direct clients as well as publishers in an advisory capacity. EMX was formed in 2018 from the acquisition of the sales technology Brealtime and the data platform Clearstream and is committed to transparency in programmatic media trading with TV-CTV, OOH, Mobile and Desktop inventory. To this end, the U.S. company mainly offers advertisers and agencies direct access to the inventory of affiliated publishers instead of going via an external DSP. For this direct business, Engine provides its own technological infrastructure, including header bidding. SSP customers in Germany include Ad Alliance, United Internet Media and Wetter Online. EMX is headquartered in New York and has another office in London. SSP is part of the US-based Engine Group, which offers EMX technology as well as Consulting, Creative and PR Services and employs over 1,200 people in 17 offices worldwide.
