Dr. Ulrike Handel

Dr. Ulrike Handel has taken over as CEO at Dentsu Aegis Network in Germany in April 2017. In this role, she is responsible for all activities and results of the group and related agency brands in Germany. She is also a member of the Dentsu Aegis Network EXEC team in EMEA. Prior to this, she headed ad pepper media International N.V. as CEO and was responsible for the group’s turnaround and sustained growth. Ulrike started her professional career at Landesanstalt für Kommunikation in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg and has then worked for Axel Springer SE in various management positions for eleven years. These included member of the management at WELT Group / Berliner Morgenpost and Head of "Classifieds" (online classifieds business) with companies like Stepstone and Immonet. Ulrike Handel holds a PHD in media science.
