Thomas Schauf

Thomas Schauf has many years of expertise economic digital transformation. He has been working as a Senior Expert in Public & Regulatory Affairs at Deutsche Telekom AG since 2015, focusing in particular on digital and data politics, industry 4.0 and cyber security. He is also active within party-affiliated organisations involved in digital policy and is a member of the advisory committee for digital economy in North Rhine-Westphalia’s Ministry of Economic and Digital Affairs, among others. With an academic background in political science, his previous role saw him work with the German Federal Association of Digital Economy (BVDW) between 2006 and 2015, most recently as a member of the management board and Head of European & International Affairs. During this time, he represented the interests of the German digital economy at both the Interactive Advertising Bureau Europe in Brussels and at the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in Boston.
